The Church of the Ascension was the Church of Thomas Fitch Rowland,
the owner
of Continental Iron Works who built the USS Monitor. Funds Mr. Rowland
obtained from the construction of the USS Monitor and other Monitor
Class vessels
were used to build this Church.

with Arthur's musical talent and Civil War artifacts, John's uniforms

George's Civil War artifacts and accounts of his ancestors experiences
during the Civil War. The songs of Arthur and Karen always fill
the Church of the Ascension with the emotions of the men and
women
who sacrificed so much for this country.
