Arthur brings to life the heart and soul of the Civil War soldier
through music and song. His piccolo recorder resounds the echoes of
their march.

Arthur displays authentic Civil War battlefield relics including
firearms and artillery shell fragments.

Student inspects an original Ellsworth Fire Zouave Flag Standard.
This flag standard with its flag led the Fire Zouave's into battle.

Arthur points out the historic badges of the Veterans of the
Grand Army of the Republic and the Sons of Union Veterans
of the Civil War. Members of The Greenpoint Monitor Museum
are also members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
Their ancestors fought bravely to save the Union. After the war
the Civil War veterans sponsored events and programs to raise
money for the orphans of the Civil War. They took Old Abe the Eagle
with them to these events. Today the SONS of Union Veterans of the
Civil War keep alive the memory of these gallant men.
